Mautner Project is a national organization serving women who partner with women, and their loved ones, when they are affected by cancer, bereavement, or other life crises. Our network of caring volunteers is here to support our clients in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area with a wide variety of services. Through our Client Services program, we offer individuals and families direct assistance.
The cornerstone of the Mautner Project has always been its dedication to individual, direct services, including – but not limited to! – helping with household tasks such as cleaning, grocery shopping, and cooking; going to doctors appointments with clients; and walking the dog, childcare, and yard work. We can also provide health information and LBT-friendly doctor referrals from our Resource Center. If you’ve got questions, let us know!
Community support programs include phone support, support groups for LBT women with cancer and their partners, bereavement support groups, smoking cessation groups, community health workshops.
You and your loved ones are welcome to participate in any of our services that fit your individual needs and that are offered in your area.
If you have any questions please contact us at 202-332-5536 (or toll free at 1-866-MAUTNER (628-8637)).
