Thank You!
We'd like to offer a very special thanks to everyone who was able to join us at the Mautner Project Gala. It was a fabulous success and we are grateful to all of you who were able to attend and support us.

Let Us Know...
We'd also love to hear your thoughts on the evening! Your feedback is very important to us - please click here for a survey that will take less than five minutes!

Where We've Been...
We know fall is a busy season for everyone - we've been pretty booked ourselves! Take a look at just a few of the places we've been getting the word out about lesbian health:

  • We did outreach at American University and George Mason University Breastivals.
  • Our Removing the Barriers cultural competency training program for health care providers been is being presented at Sunshine Social Services in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where we've also trained future trainers.
  • S.H.E. Circle has been at Sistah Space at Unity Fellowship's Annual Convocation.
  • Upcoming, we're going to be at the National LGBTI Tobacco Summit and Out & Healthy - see below!

  • ENDA Action Alert!
We still need your support to keep the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act trans-inclusive! Here's what you can do:

    ENDA is for everyone!
  • Email and Call your Representative
  • Find out more from The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and United ENDA
  • Over 270 organizations across the country are mobilizing their members to take action for a fully inclusive ENDA. Together, we are making our voice heard. Contacting your representative is easy, and we need them to hear not only that we support the original ENDA, but that we oppose any amendments or bills that strip protections for transgender people. If you've already emailed your Representative, give them a call. If you've already called them, encourage a few friends to do the same.

    Together, we will win!

    Calling All Daytime Driving Volunteers!
Fall is a great time to make new friends. You can discover a lot about a person driving a Mautner client to a medical appointment. The scenic view of the George Washington Parkway can lead to conversations about an early childhood memory or the latest Mystics' game. If you have a weekday or part of a day and would like to volunteer with us, please call 202-332-5536 or e-mail cfoley@mautnerproject.org or lbiros@mautnerproject.org.

The Mautner Project improves the health of lesbians, bisexual, and transgender women who partner with women, and their families, through advocacy, education, research, and direct service. We envision a healthcare system that is guided by social justice and responsive to the needs of all people.
