The National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Program
(NBCCEDP)
NBCCEP programs can provide free or low-cost mammography and Pap testing
for underserved women. The NBCCEDP program has been mandated by the CDC
to conduct outreach to lesbians and bisexual women, and many programs
(but not all)
have been trained by the Mautner Project, the National Lesbian Health
Organization on lesbian cultural competence.
