Nutrition & Fitness

Diet, nutrition, fitness: tips on how to make this about health, not about aesthetics.

Most advertising (whether in print, on the web, or on tv) have models who are impossible to emulate, let alone be a positive influence on anyone trying to choose healthy choices. And to compound this problem, there are so many conflicting messages about what is "really" healthy. One day, carbohydrates are terrible for you, the next they are absolutely necessary. Is weight bearing exercise something that is right for everyone, or only someone who is looking to "bulk up?" How is anyone supposed to keep up?

This section will give you some sound tips on diet, nutrition, and fitness in ways that are useful, practical, and attainable. Diet isn't a new fad being advertised on television to you, it's a plan for keeping your body in balance. Fitness is not something that can only be achieved in a gym or through a personal trainer. Walking, playing with your pets or kids, even household chores can be ways of getting all the exercise you need.
